Einstein has a new home in Montgomery County

As we enter the new year, I'm honored to announce the upcoming arrival of the newest member of the Einstein family — Einstein Medical Center Montgomery — opening in September 2012.

It will be the first completely new hospital to be built in Pennsylvania in more than a decade. More significantly, it is built, from the ground up, around patient comfort, safety and peace of mind, as well as the needs of doctors, nurses, clinical staff and the demands of the latest technology. From its soaring atrium to its advanced imaging services, the center's architectural elegance is matched by top tier patient care capabilities.

Small details illustrate the essence of what distinguishes Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. For example, each private patient room is designed to include a dedicated, comfortable family zone.

Why? Because visits with loved ones provide more than peace of mind. They lower stress levels. That, in turn, promotes healing.

These zones, in their simple way, define Einstein's approach to medicine—which lies at the intersection of clinical excellence and thoughtful care. This philosophy is embedded in the very framework of this new hospital.

The new medical campus will be LEED certified and environmentally conscious. It will feature open-heart surgery and other advanced cardiovascular services, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a comprehensive cancer center and minimally invasive robotic procedures. Our Medical Arts Building will house doctors’ offices and physical rehabilitation from the world-renowned MossRehab, along with comprehensive outpatient services and support. Behind it all is a commitment to the idea that the best medicine requires the best patient experience.

Besides being a center for exceptional healthcare, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery will also be an economic engine for the community. Construction has already employed hundreds. When built, the center will preserve approximately 800 current jobs and create a future need for hundreds more.
